Day 1: Travel to Rushaga-the Southern sector of Bwindi

A cup of coffee/tea early at your hotel/place of residence/lodge and after, meet your experienced driver guide for welcome & briefing about the 4 days Double Gorilla Trek Rushaga-Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After, drive via Masaka-Mbarara to Rushaga, about 8-9 hours but have a brief stop at Equator for photo taking & in Igongo Cultural Centre for lunch. Head to Rushaga in the southern side of Bwindi to check into your lodge for overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking Rushaga & Batwa experience

Breakfast early and after, have all the essentials for your first day gorilla trek including packed lunch, bottled mineral water, walking stick, put on the right clothing, hiking boots-waterproof and then proceed to Rushaga trail-head for briefing. Get insight into gorilla trekking rules & regulations in Rushaga and be allocated to a gorilla family to track starting at 8:00am with the guide.

Expect to last 2-6 hours on your Rushaga gorilla trek and after finding the mountain gorillas, you enjoy 1 hour face to face with them, observe their behaviors and take pictures. Trek back to your lodge for refreshments and later, in the evening, go interact, share stories, enjoy dances and music performances during the Batwa cultural experience.

Day 3: Second gorilla trek in Rushaga & drive to Lake Bunyonyi

Day 3 of your 4 days Double Gorilla Trek Rushaga begins with early breakfast and after, report to the trail-head once again for briefing and also to be allocated to a different gorilla group. Still, your actual Rushaga gorilla trek commences at 8:00am and the guide assigned leads your group of 8 trekkers to search for mountain gorillas.

You trek back after a magical encounter with these massive creatures and be awarded a gorilla trekking certificate at Rushaga offices. After, proceed to your lodge, rest a little and vacate ready to drive to Lake Bunyonyi for evening relaxation at its cool shores.
